Digivolution of D²L!

Donielle Mari Deionæra Mystagic (AKA D²L) is said to be the one so-called "Goddess" in the UMIAST's Trio without flashy super-abilities, but didja know this unimposing little chicky really does have a talent of her own? She's the only Goddess capable of Digivolving through the art of animanga cosplay! She especially enjoys crossing the gender barrier and calls herself the Crossplay Senshi because of this. (Wordplay on Bust a Move's Kitty-N, the Cosplay Senshi)....But amazingly, if you have a sharp eye, you might actually spot fully female Digivolutions here! The self-styled Crossplay Senshi's alternate forms have been spotted everywhere from college campuses to their favorite hangout, anime conventions. All of her Digivolutions are documented here, so let's start the chaos.
Now that you've seen a rare glimpse of the elusively shy Donielle,
it's on to the Crossplay Senshi's flashier Digiforms, in order of first
appearance. The picture in each section is a collage pic of the
character being cos/crossplayed, together with D²L's favorite
shots of her in the costume. Other pictures of each costume
can also be seen by visiting
Donielle's Neo-Kyoto
anime convention pictures.
Donielle's Note: MAJOR thanks goes out to my friends for their help in costume design,
and to me dear mum, whose sewing skills go WAY beyond mine! And please forgive the poor
quality of these pictures, since I'm still unable to use a decent paint program to edit and
save them. Now continue forward--the Digivolution has begun!
•Vampire Saviour: Bulleta Hood (Debuted Otakon 1998)
•Bust a Move: femme Heat (Debuted Otakon 1998)
NOTE: This costume was destroyed in an
unfortunate washer accident after Katsucon 06, so get a good look at this rare photo, baby!
•Zelda no Densetsu: Random Zelda-hime (Debuted
Katsucon 05, 1999)
NOTE: I sorta took a few liberties and designed my own costume. It was a
kind of combination of all three Zeldas as the Hylian timeline existed then.
•Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce--Linka of
Hyrule (Debuted Otakon 1999)
NOTE: Linka of Hyrule is the first of my costumes that I'd call a halfway "original"
character. Long before I made this costume, she was a character in stories I wrote about the
video game with which I was (and still am) obsessed: Kamigami no Triforce/A Link to the Past.
In these, she was Link's twin sister. This hasn't changed, but over the years
of my writing and roleplaying on ZQL and
ARPG with her, Linka has long since
grown into her own personality and evolved way beyond simply being a female Link. Today,
she's even one of my two alteregos (my main alter being the mysterious Deionæra Mystagic).
Originally, this costume *was* just going to be a femme Link,
but so many of my friends and roleplaying crowd
liked Linka that they suggested I cosplay as her.
•Shin Kidousenki Gundam W: femme Duo Maxwell,
Duette Maxwell (Debuted Otakon 2000)
NOTE: I knew there were going to be a *lot* of Duos at Otakon 2000....And I was NOT
disappointed! =^-^= I wanted to stand out from the mass of unholy priestlike-kids, so I
made a few tweaks with the costume and the character name. Also, I don't like Duo's black cap
or jodhpurs he's often seen wearing, so I left off the cap and wore normal black pants instead.
What good is cosplay if you can't take a few liberties with your costume?
Here's a dual-shot (Duo-shot? XD) showing what made Duette
Maxwell different from all those other terrific Shinigami walking around. There's also a
Version 02 of Duette that debuted at Katsucon 007 (2001), in which I wear a
black skirt slit up the sides. On the top half of the costume I've also added the two glittery
lion crests that are sometimes seen on Duo's outfit. Photo upcoming!
Continuing on....
•Bust a Move: femme Heat, DJ Lady Heat (Debuted Otakon 2000)
•Digimon Adventure: Lilimon (Debuted Katsucon 007,
2001)
Costume photo coming soon! =^^=
Future & Possible Digivolutions
•Aliroo RPG: Vail Blaize
NOTE: Vail's the character of my friend Kathryn on ARPG.
He's an insanely popular guy, probably due to the fact that he's a broody male who's fun
for the ladies to tease. ;) He got his start as a Rocket on an online Pokemon RPG. Pretty cool
outfit, eh? =^^=
•Arkista's Ring (ANCIENT little-known NES game): Christine
•Misaligned Legend of Psychic Shapeshifter Deionæra: Deionæra Mystagic
NOTE: Deionæra, she of the color-shifting hair and eyes, is my main alterego and
roleplaying character. The pic on the right is the one I'll actually be basing the costume
on. The four pairs of wings are gonna kill me,
though, especially the half-devil-bat/half-angel pair! =^-^= My fellow
roleplayers on ZQL and
ARPG are already
familiar with psychic shapeshifter Deionæra and her numerous physical
forms, so this shouldn't surprise you guys. =^-~=
•Pokemon: Kojirou crossdressing in the bikini
•Shin Kidousenki Gundam W: Deathscythe Hell
Custom
NOTE: I have no intention of wearing an 8-foot cardboard suit that I can't walk in,
so this won't be your standard mech costume. Instead, I'll be answering the unasked question,
"What would the D-Hell C look like as a humanoid female?" =^-~=
